Vergil, also known as Nelo Angelo, as well as the split halves V and Urizen, is one of the main antagonists of the Devil May Cry franchise. He is the elder twin brother of Dante and seems designed to be his opposite. serving as the arch-rival of both Dante and his own son, Nero. Despite usually acting as an antagonist, Vergil has, on rare occasions, assisted his own brother to take down an even tougher opponent, making him an anti-villian. In the Japanese version, he is voiced by Hiroaki Hirata.
